Peartree Primary school is located in Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire.

This is a medium sized school set in its own grounds and located adjacent to local houses and shops.

The school had a requirement to prevent unauthorised intruders and vandals from entering the school grounds.

Our recommendation was to install a colour CCTV system, floodlights, audio intercom and access control systems around the site.

A new colour CCTV system was installed by IFS to monitor the school, a total of 6 CCTV cameras were installed.
All CCTV footage is recorded on a Visimetrics digital CCTV recorder, which was linked into the local IT network for remote viewing of live and recorded images.
The main entrances to the school were secured with a Videx audio intercom access system to control all staff and visitors to the school.

External low energy floodlights were installed around the school to provide additional lighting.
