Sir Frederic Osborn School is one of the biggest secondary schools in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire

The school is spread over large grounds with many different blocks for each dept.

Their requirement was to improve overall security on the site and prevent vandalism, theft etc.

Our recommendation was to install a colour digital CCTV system, to monitor the site.

A new colour digital CCTV system was installed with high resolution cameras that had the capability to switch from colour to monochrome when the light levels dropped.

A total of 16 cameras were deployed around the site to cover all key areas and monitor the site building and grounds.

The system has proved very effective in preventing vandalism and criminal damage to school property.

The next phase is too upgrade to a digital recorder and link the system into the IT network.
